I still can't believe I am at the Annual Meeting. It still seems like only yesterday we were in San Diego. Today, we opened with the first general session and quickly moved onto learning labs.
I didn't have a chance to attend the learning labs because I had staff duties but I did sneak out for an hour to have a session with a career coach through our CareerHQ. That hour may have been my favorite hour of the entire conference. It was nice to meet with someone who wasn't a coworker who could put things into perspective. Prior to meeting we emailed a few times, I sent him my resume, and I explained what I hoped to get out of the session. I left feeling so relaxed and excited to see when his advice leads. If you haven't signed up for a session, I highly recommend it.
After the learning sessions were over I headed to the Diversity Reception that was hosted by Hyatt. I tried sake for the first time (still a beer girl) and snacked my way around the room.
Always Standing Always Eating!
The entertainment portions of the reception were hysterical.
My nighted ended at the Fairmount Hotel which is just goregous.
Tomorrow I will be attending the general session, a few idea labs, speaking on leadership programs in the theater, and attending the Food & Wine Classic (which is THE must not miss event for this year).
